Well we at last had some fleeting sun today and I went out with my "New to me" camera and attempted to take a picture. Here are the first, when I take my head from under the pillow I will peek at your response.
Hanna and the Bees
West Pond
Who's Your Daddy
I think the best place to start is by reading the book that comes with your camera. You wouldn't believe all the good stuff that's in there--and all the functions your camera likely has. Make your focus on one area and try blurring the rest out. Makes your focal point really stand out.
The one of the puppy with the chickens is precious.
try taking pictures kneeling sitting laying on ground at same subject matter compare them with these see which you like best an play with zoom nice pictures though

Thank You. I am looking forward to really using this camera. My last camera was a Minolta SLR film camera that I have not used for years.

All good comments and I will attempt to put them to use
Thanks to all
For initial shots with a new-to-you-camera, they're terrific shots - no need to appologize! I like the dog with the rooster confronting each other. Hopefully, your dog didn't get stung by the bees - pups are a curious bunch - ours always learned the hard way, when we let them!
Also, you might contact the manufacturer's archives for a download of the owners' manual. Sometimes, you can also find them on eBay! LOL
