Yesterday, the high temperature in my area was 116F/47C. I wanted to take a photo to depict how hot it was. Unfortunately, I think the lens melted. Any recommendations on good quality, heat resistant glass? 8-)

GWR, That was the saving grace. A few cold pints at the pub last evening. It works similar to an anaesthetic. Not that one can't feel the heat afterwards, one just doesn't care any more. --Bob
