New to the forum, so looking forward to getting great insight, expertise, guidance and coaching from the collective.

Retired twice--from the US Army and SAS, a big software company. After years of film photography and then some down time, I got back into photography couple of years ago when I bought a D90. Shoot Nikons exclusively and use Elements 11--and recently Lightroom 5--for post-processing.

Welcome to the Hog and enjoy retirement. I love it -- not sure how I ever found time for a job!

More work and a tougher boss than I had with any "job."

Welcome, Don,
I agree....retirement is NOT for sissies! I'm in Cary and have joined every photography MeetUp and club around the Triangle and a bunch online after retiring for good a year ago. They keep me busy and I've learned that our area has some wonderful resources to shoot all kinds of great stuff as well as free, or almost free, photography tutorials. Contact me if you want to know more...I'm just down the road.

I hope I'll be saying the same I'm in the 5 month countdown. At 61 I feel too young and healthy to retire......but everything is in order to proceed...........just a little nervous leaving a job in the IT field I enjoy. Got plenty to keep me busy including photography and music.

Welcome doduce. Will be joining the ranks of the officially retired at the end of my shift today. Looking forward to getting some remodeling done around the house, a little golf, and a lot of photography. Pretty sure we will stay busy. Lol
