Foggy morning at Providence Road dam

I really like this image, I think it might be one of my favourites of mine. It is not perfect, I know that - but I do like it.

We have been having cold, foggy mornings - I love them. This was taken last Sunday. I went walking in Woodlands and as usual had the 120-400mm Sigma on the camera for birds, but fortunately chucked the nifty-fifty in the pocket too.

So this image is hand-held with the 50mm, and is a two-frame stitched panorama. I took three exposures for each frame (-2,0,+2) but only ended up using the -2 and 0 for this image.

Hope you like it. As always, C&C welcome.

Very nicely composed which is irrelevant to HDR. You've managed to effectively use (not abuse HDR) to enhance the dramatic image criteria which one strives to achieve. HDR is not new however, the technique has become increasingly more relevant with digital photography.

Good or, excellent job

I like the combination of the light, and dark tones, which adds a black, and white format to the color in the photo. What a nice combination as I view it.

I see why it is one of your favorites, and I agree.

Very nice. I really like the composition of the sun in the corner and the rays covering the entire scene.

Makes sense to me regarding why you did not use the +2. Dramatic, beautiful light: that's actually what it means: "painting with light" Well done.

Very, very nice. I am impressed with the quality especially considering the shots were hand held.
