Chestnut-sided Warbler at Shenandoah (warning birds)

There certainly was an abundance of birds in the SNP and the Chestnut-sided Warbler is a first for me...so I was certainly excited about getting a chance to photograph it! I was using my Canon 7D and 300 prime lens for these shots...settings were constantly changing due to the light.

Let me be the first to congratulate you on your 'lifer', Jan. The images are superb. The comp in #3 is simply put.......beautiful.

Beautiful, focused, composed and stunning photographs. Where in NC were these taken? I also live in NC.

Thank you so much Joe...I'm honored by your compliment! We scoured the area for a Canada Warbler...everywhere we read they might be...but to no avail.

Thank you neighbor...these photos were taken in Shenandoah National Park...so glad you liked them though! If you want to take some Prothonotary Warbler shots I can tell you where to find them in NC.

Sorry Pentony...these were taken in the Shenandoah National Park. If you are going to be along the coast in South Carolina...be sure to keep your eyes open for the Painted Bunting...they are just gorgeous little birds!!!
