i have recently acquired a zeiss ikon contaflex minus its lens. all seems to be in working order, including light meter. there are quite a few lenses on internet for the contraflex. my question is are the lens mounts on all contaflexes the same?

thanks

I have done a little research on this. It looks like Contaflex had an odd arrangement where part of the lens was permanently attached to the camera, and the lens that you screw on just converts it to that focal length. Looks like there was a Contaflex 126 which was completely different, so as long as you get lenses with the Zeiss 60S mount you will be away laughing

This explains it well: http://forum.mflenses.com/viewtopic.php?t=49716

I have old cameras. Most of mine needed CLA before they worked properly. Just something to bear in mind

You can find the lenses on Ebay very reasonable, there was a wide angle and 2 telles plus a 8x30 monocular that screwed into the front and became a 400mm/16 which is now hard to find and expensive.

i have just looked up the unirex. that looks to be an interesting bit of kit also. i had a topcon camera another lifetime ago myself. it had been through the wars from the look of it as i remember. now that has gotten me thinking as to what ever happened to it. funny how things can grow legs and just disappear ;-)
