I am looking for a separate policy for Camera insurance. This company Worth Ave Group appeared on a Google search. They offer several different types of insurance from laptop, smart phones, camera, and camera gear. Has any of the UHHs had any experience with this company. They will insure camera, lenses for a amount, or separate items. The actual premium is $224.00 per year, for $10,000 worth of equipment. This includes, theft, dropping, water damage, any other type of loss. You must have receipts of purchase for all claims. "www.worthavegroup.com" is their website.

If you have home owners insurance, or a renters policy, did you check with your agent for a separate policy through them? I know that State Farm will carry an additional rider that will cover them relatively cheaply.

Our home owners insurance is with a company called Centuri. They do not have a extra rider for camera equipment. Here in Louisiana, home owners ins has become very expensive, because of all the storms. Many people have to settle for Citizens Insurance, from the State. It is the company of last resort. Louisiana, is nothing compared to Florida, as far as insurance. Florida, gave insurance companies who want to stop writing home owners, but wanted to continue writing auto policies, the option of either write all their products or leave. Not so in Louisiana, we allow companies to continue to run the insurance commission. Actually, I was insured by State Farm for Katrina, and had to sue them to get my benefits, following my winning the suit, they would not write my 2006 policy. I had to go to Citizens Insurance.

Isn't it wonderful how this new world order we have protects you. One (of the few) good things about California law is that State Farm can be sued to force them to renew an in-force policy if the policyholder has committed no act to cause the forced lapsing of the police. Nor can they raise your premiums because you filed a no-fault claim.

The new world order in Louisiana, is to make more corruption legal. I'll bet every State, with exception of Louisiana, have some sort of toxic torts on the books.
