I have a serious question and I would like your opinion and reason for it.
I have been told by several people that it is impossible to be a Christian unless one is also a Republican.
How say you and why?
Remoman - you can choose to be christian and be a democrat - my opinion: I'm christian but I don't necessarily vote one way or the other. Plus I think the people that are running are liars...

If you have a Bible on your computer do a search on liberal and then search conservative. You will find that we are told to be liberal. Conservative you wont find. Remember the ten beggars and only one of them was in need. I think we were told that we should not to deny the one in need berceuse of the other nine. It is my take that Christ was liberal on social issues. Of course moral issues was another thing but you can't legislate peoples values. It's just dumb to say you must be Republican to be Christian. - Dave
Just another reason for an arguement.
We are God's creation; politics is our creation. I doubt that God pays too much attention to the silly squabblings of humans.
I think this is something that God put into somebodies head. Now he is laughing at all of our stupid remarks.
God, isn't she a socialist?

Those several people are morons. I know a few.
Christianity has nothing to do with politics. It has everything to do with believing in Jesus Christ and wanting to abide by His teachings. It would be hard to be a Democrat at this time and also be a Christian since this administration believes in and allows abortion plus other non Christian beliefs. That is my belief according to my religious upbringing. That doesn't mean you have to be a Republican. In life and in the Bible, there are no perfect humans so none of us live lives that parallel what God intended. Christians don't act very Christian like sometimes. Some are still clinging to human prejudices from generations past. These are all sins that are between you and Christ but make stone throwing very easy for both Christians and non. If you are a Christian, I believe you, personally have to ask yourself, when in doubt, if what you are questioning is in line with your religious beliefs or in conflict with them. Non Christians will never understand until they cross over to the light of Christ. If you are truly looking for an answer to your question and not just opinions, The Bible has all the answers.

You are correct, of course. But based on what comes out of the Republican party so often - many of them don't understand that.
Proof that there is a God: Michelle Bachmann leaving! :-)

Simply put no, this is not the case. What does seem to be more and more the true is that the Republican party has become the home of the evangelicals, not necessarily a positive for the party as it is questionable if the catering to the ultra far right religious factions does not come with it a heavy cost... In my opinion the democratic party has become the home of the secularist atheists, who are becoming every more hateful in their attacks on religion and what many consider to be the moral principles on which this country was built. In both cases it is my opinion that these two factions represent the extreme fringes of their parties and in both cases they do as much damage as they do good in supporting their party.

Yep. I is why I am an independent. I despise both parties. Neither one has anything intelligent to offer. The goal is to not let the OTHER party do anything that is good for the country.
Remoman...This is a post worthy of a 1st class troll. But you're not a troll, so what gives?
