Thanks for that information. I will look into that. My pdf library is getting full of manuals for cameras I don't even own.
App is available in Canadian store only. When I tried to download for iBooks, my IP Address was blocked.

That's odd, I have the app and I live in Mississippi (which is not in Canada)
A good book to learn about canons speedlites is 'Canon Speedliter's Handbook' by Syl Arena.

Craft and vision is also an iPad app you can install and it acts like a viewer for any c& v books you put on your iPad. Plain downloading works too. When the PDF loads, click in the upper right corner to select "open in iBooks" and it'll add the book to your iBooks document library.
I am really out of it! I can't find the app on iTunes. Can you please provide a link again? I did download adobe reader on my iPad so it's a start. Thanks to all.
Ah, that's why the comfusion. There are two threads going on. Sorry! Some of the suggestions look really good.
Ok everyone. My goal is not to be the Master and make all the decisions on what books we will be reading. I just threw out the 1st book because June was looming and I thought I should have a book out there for those who wanted to start immediately. I'm sorry if I upset you over that. Please remember, I am completely new to this stuff too so cut me some slack please? I'm developing a list of everyone's suggestions, then I'll throw them out for a vote each month. If someone else would like to be the keeper of the lists PLEASE feel free to volunteer, I could use a co-moderator. I want this club to work for as many as possible, but unfortunately it I cannot make everyone happy all the time. I'm trying to set up a good thing here, so please again, I ask you to cut me some slack.

Can you please give me the name of the app as it appears in the app store? Thank you.

Hang in there Kitty, it'll take a while to make order from this. Craft and Vision is a good start. For those who asked about the iPad app, I tracked the question and it appears the Craft and Vision guys have divorced Apple and though the app still works, they're not selling new books via apple store so it is of limited use. PDF via iBooks is best for iPad now.
Id be willing to help in a couple of months, too many 12 hr workdays ahead in June though.

OK, Kitty, the first thing you have to do is cut yourself some slack. You are doing a fine job. It's not easy to start a new forum, especially with this group, which I'm sure you have noted, are not a bunch of sheeple who say yes to everything. They are a bunch of intelligent free-thinking people who are (for the most part) serious about their participation here. If there is any way I can help, PM me and maybe we can work something out. In the meantime, relax, feel comfortable that you are getting feedback (as opposed to being ignored) and have some fun.
I am reading Craft and Vision I right now. It's actually quite good and thought provoking. It is not a technical manual. Rather, it describes ways to think about and improve your compositions and photographs. If everyone wants to download that book, we can all choose an area to work on. What do you think?

I've got them linked on the forum with a sticky for everyone to be able to get them. For June, I just figure everyone will pick up which one of the reading materials and work on that. For July, we will have a much more organized structure with voting for the material covered.
I added a new topic for the Craft & Vision ebooks with links to the downloads. Lets switch the discussion of those books over to that topic thread.
