It is a Blue Merle Catahoula Leopard Hound.
Found wandering, starving and with a skin disease (non-transferable) and the Lee County Animal Shelter decided she was worth fixing up for a rescue.
We have her now and not only is she beautiful, she's very intelligent and loving.
She gets spayed June 11 and has never had putts.

Nice going sarge. What a transformation. It's amazing what a lot of LOVE will do . Great pics.
I think Maddie likes me best. She'll come up to me, raise a paw and slap me a couple times, drop down on her front part of her legs and bounce around and huff at me. Then I get to play with her and scratch her. When I scratch her, she'll turn her head around and 'mouth me' and then nibble at my skin (not hard) or even fake attack my legs and nibble on my skin. I've been told 'NOT TO LET THAT HAPPEN' because mouthing is not a good habit to let a pup continue. So I get her the rope with knots and we play tug-a-war. I actually lose the battle as she is really strong.
Today we came in from the yard to the Lanai and before I could say it, she sat down to have the leash taken off.
I love my doggie.

good for you
Way to go Sarge. I'm proud of you. I always find it beyond comprehension how people can be that cruel. Our last dog was a puppy mill rescue. Unbelievable what living conditions he came from. Why can't they jail the owners under in the same facilities their dogs were subjected to?
Here's Tod.
