Trying out my new camera I was trying out some settings on a mossy log. I did a lot of squatting and when I stood up I saw this beautiful baby deer! Couldn't believe it. Snapped a few photos and then got out of there because I didn't want to run into his mama. He was so beautiful and perfect. Such a great find.

Very nice A_Levitt. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: You are correct to not hang around. A park ranger in Yosemite told me mule deer does with fawns cause more injuries to humans than the bucks do all year. During the calving season Yellowstone posts signs all over the park to stay away from elk cows with calves. The brown spot on top of the head looks to be the location of the buttons so it a buck fawn. The buttons pop up after birth.
