New to the HOG

Well >>>> I'm new here and have been Taking picture for a very long time,but just for fun and keep getting into it more all the time. Have only had cheap cameras but I did get a good sony p/s a few years back and could see what I would call a good picture and made me want to take lots more pictures so I wanted a better camera went to a canon XTI and love it with kit lenes than one day got a 60D worst mistake I ever made Ha HA....to me its a fine Camera costing me lost of money I don't have I now have 18 55 kit 18 135 kit a Sigma 18 200 a 50 1.8 prime a Tramon 10/24 a canon 70/200 2.8is and my last one was a canon 24/70 2.8 and think I'm going to really like it.I am retired and enjoy taking pictures very much I have lived in Sw Missoura all my life. the more I Pictures I take the more lens I want and get better pictures ....... So hello everyone Russ

Hi pour me... (Russ) welcome to the hog. Im sorry you are having problems with your 60D... I also use a 60D and have not had any problems with it. Can you be more explicit on your problems, maybe i can help you solve...i dont know if i can but i sure will try. And in the meantime, ask your questions, post a few of your images, and above all, have fun.

Thank you Rich Was kidding I love it after i got it liked it so much and my pictures got much better and still wanted more so thats when I started buying more and better lens. I just take pictures for fun and love doing it. thanks for the help and hope you like your as much......Russ

Thank you Creativ have been watching and read for a while and learing a lot. I saw some people talking about the 50 1.8 here and got one like it alot very sharp

In a nutshell, I LOVE MY 60D.....if you look at my flickr account, all the pictures i have there on Israel and Italy were taken with the 60D.

Rich you have some very good pictures I can only dream of taking pictures like that. Some pis I took Sat. with the New used 24/70 lens of the chuck wagons for warrions here

Its no dream Russ. In a very short time, you will be taking fantastic shots of your own. If i may, some suggestions...
Pic 1 zoom out just a tiny bit so include the head of the person in the red apron, and also the pan where it is cut off on the left side.
Pic 2 You have so much room on the left side, had you moved the camera over to include all of the flag it would be a little more impressive.
Pic 3 is as is....there is nothing you can do to improve or otherwise.
Just a couple of suggestions.
