STVest
Loc: LA - that's Lower Alabama
Yesterday, hubby and I were at Palafox Pier in Pensacola. This huge vessel was docked across from the pier. We couldnt figure out the apparatus on the back (should I say aft or stern). But, we figured the ship had to have something to do with the oil industry - who else needs or can afford a ship that large. Sure enough, a quick and easy internet search revealed that the ship is a deepwater derrick pipelay vessel.
Living in an area where we see lots of ships, we were impressed by this one. So, I thought Id share. And get your input on what I could have done to make the photos better. These photos are SOOC. I didnt notice until I loaded them onto my computer that the white balance was set to shade. Believe me, there was no shade anywhere around. Im still having trouble remembering to do everything I should.
Both shot with a Canon 60D.
Thanks for your time and I appreciate any guidance you can offer.
