After loading photos and creating an album from a D7000 and then selecting slideshow, it will start the slideshow and then quit. A drop down message appears that says: The volume for DSC_0756.jpg cannot be found. It will keep doing this for a number of photos, listing them by their number. Then it says insert the disc or connect to the server volume and wait for it to appear on the desktop. If you keep clicking on the drop down to get the photo, it eventually changes to a message that says: Some photos need to be prepared to view them at full size. When this occurs, it evidently goes thru the whole album and changes them so that they will play in the slide show. But the slide show will only play one time. If want to play it again, it stops and you have to go thru the whole thing again.
Any ideas what is going on here? How do you determine if the iPhoto program is compatible with photos from a D7000?
Are all of your pictures for the slideshow in the same folder ??
Yes, it is an album with a number of photos. Actually the same thing happens on a couple of albums that were recently loaded into iPhoto.

You have a glitch in iPhoto! Reinstall iPhoto or go to the Genius Bar at Apple and have them do it.
What will happen to the other images already in iPhoto if a re-install is performed?

The genius bar should be able to save them in the new I photo, or I assume you have it all backed up. I had a problem with I-photo once and they installed the new over the old.It only updated the operating system. The photos stayed. Check it out.
