Beautiful and unusual. May I ask what f stop you used to produce the starburst effect in the sun?

Hi Andrew. In answer to your question, I reckon its a beauty. Late Autumn morning, a mist and an intense low angle glare makes for magic, and you have captured it. Love the detail of the ripple in the cloud near the sun. I find myself peering into the glare looking at the details which is exactly what I would have done in the bright light if I was there. Don't know exactly where you are in the pic but it could be on the road in from Geelong, or out near Sunbury, it just has that feel of the areas around Melbourne. Yeah I like it a lot, its not the sort of pic I have taken before but you have inspired me to try.

Two questions. Along the bottom and to the right there are a number of white sparkly dots. Reflections off moisture droplets, or stuck pixels? And, although I like the wide panorama I am not quite sure of the balance when the sun is placed dead centre. Have you considered a crop of the left so that the sun ends up the same distance from the left as the dark bush does from the right so that they balance each other. Just a thought but I really like it as it is anyway.

Peter
