Something I wasnt aware of until recently: I never stand still; I bob and weave all over the place. I first noticed this after I purchased my dSLR and it became dramatically more obvious when I purchased the longer lenses. It isnt just camera shake from unsteady hands - my whole freakin body reels.
Ive tried the hints about bracing yourself against something (not always available), holding your breath, arms tucked in tight. Ive tried a monopod - but it just dances with me. Previously, the point-and-shoots that I owned were virtually never used because I could never get a shot that was focused. Now Im thinking it wasnt a focusing problem. I do use a tripod for the longer lenses, but I find macro photography also challenging. I dont want to have to use a tripod for every shot! And I was also hoping to occasionally be able to make hand-held shots with the longer lenses.
So. What to do?
Should I stop taking my meds? Double up on them? Or embrace the bob-and-weave, ditch photography, and take up boxing?

Give up caffeine and shoot with a faster shutter speed. 8-)

Use the fastest shutter speed available to get the shot.
