It's turning into quite an attraction for both states, with activities, (especially in the nicer weather), taking place at either end of the bridge.
My wife and I each must use handicap scooters now, to make it across, but it's still an enjoyable 'trip', even then.
Interesting. I live near the Hudson River, and there was an old railroad bridge crossing the Hudson, but it was shut down years ago. After funding-raising for years, they got enough money to have it turned into a walkway. It was quite a project, and now it's a beautiful way to cross the Hudson - about 2+ miles. Fortunately, there is no charge to walk across it - not so far at least.
