i have a fine pix 3200...i can take good still pics but cant figure setting to take nite pics of christmas lights etc....also what setting for movement pics...any help would be appreciated

I'm just learning but I keep the flash off at night . Maybe 5.6 /100 ISO A tripod and slow shutter . Also dont use lens hood .
Some of the better folks on here can guide you. Also as I just learned , take any filters off of the lens .
