After a few years of this beautiful Steam Engine being down for maintenance, they finally were able to get it in operation again.
Congrats to Grapevine, Texas. Great job.

Nice set Irvingite,--- If you live near this beautiful beast could you go back a do a "Close up and Sexy' set??? There appears to be loads of opportunities for in tight crops. Id love to see them if you do.

I do want to do that. Grapevine Main Street Days Festival is going on this weekend and I'm volunteering so don't know if I'll have time today. Sure going to try though. If not today, there will be another opportunity and I'll get them.

I took a few hours back in 2008 when I was driving a semi truck cross country to see this train. At the time the companies owner I was working for had different train pictures on the wall in his office so I gave him one of this train coming into the station. A few years later I lost all my pictures on a hard drive accident along with all the ones from that day. :-( Hope to get back and take a ride on this great old train. At the time I do remember they had to had a diesel locomotive help It back to the station. Here is a bad black and white conversion I did of that shot, the one I printed in color looked so much better, wish I had it. Sorry its such a small image had to get it off another site I loaded in 2008. I wish I had got a picture of me in front of this beautiful old train.

Very nice! At least you have this one. It's operational but not online yet making any runs. They keep finding things that still need repair. It will get there. It really does my heart good just to see it has come this far. Camera will be ready when the day comes that I can ride with it pulling.
