Need some help with date stamp

I just replaced my Pentax zx-7 with a new used camera same make, and I don't remember how to get the time stamp off so it doesn't print on my photos. Does anyone remember how to set it on the camera? Can I just send in film to be developed and ask them not to add the time stamp. I appreciate any help I can get. Tried google and that didn't help at all. Thanks in advance Carole

Apparently you can buy this camera with or without the date?

Do you still have the manual for your camera?
The information is on page 17, 71 and 72.

If you don't have the manual, you can download a copy from

Esther, that is almost the same manual I've read and all it tells me is how to set the date stamp up not how to stop it from imprinting on the images. This is like my first SLR and I love it but my original one got damaged so I replaced it . SO I don't have the original manual. I just need to know how to stop the date print. Thanks Carole

On page 17, it seems to cycle through the settings until it reaches No data.
"At each press of the date button, as shown in the illustration, the mode on the LCD panel of the databack switches as shown in the chart." And on the bottom left, it shows "No data".
I'd love to try it out before sending you just the page from the manual, but I don't have that camera.

Then on pages 71 and 72, it shows the buttons to press to press to get the date right.

As Esther said, it's on Page 17. Press the Date button until you see "— — —"

Thanks Ester and Mogul, I just pressed the date button and all the dates are now off. When I read the page 17 I didn't see that. All is good.
