Hi Guys,
I recently saw a post concerning a thin line on photos from MWojton, who thought it might be a problem with his lens. My problem is that I get a series of the same sort of lines across my entire photo if printed from Lightroom. If I print from the file it's fine and actually the quality is slightly better. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Thanks williamgood, my ink levels are fine. The lines were on the 1st but not the 2nd,which makes me think it must be the software. I am using Lightroom 5 Beta version, and wonder if that was something they did to force you to buy the newest version when available.

If the lines were on the first and not the second, the ink nozzles might have been dirty and the first print worked at cleaning them so the second could print correctly.

OK I understand that its not the nozzles I found that if just one ink is low it will cause lines

It can, and how it appears depends on the exact mix of colors that it is trying to use.

Just checked my ink levels again to make sure and none are even close to being low. I just can't imagine why it does this. I usually pick "best photo" setting, used the correct paper. I only use Epson ink for my Epson Artisan 837.

Sorry to hear it still not fixed have you tried cleaning the rollers? I
also have a epson Artisan 837 and I got lines once and I thought Id go crazy fringing to fix the problem , but I found One of my inks were low, but you said you already checked them , If you have a set of new inks change them and see if that helps. Its mind boggling that we both had the same problem . Good luck and let me know if you solve it

ph0t0bug: Go into the properties for the printer. If there is a maintenance tab or button, click on that. There should be a button for cleaning nozzles and there should be a button for deep cleaning. Choose the deep cleaning. That should clean everything. Just remember that runing cleaning cycles is using up your ink supply.

Thanks, guys. I really appreciate the help. It self cleans every so often, but it can't hurt to deep clean, I'm sure. I'll give that a try, and williamgood, you reminded me that once I didn't have a cartridge "cliked" into position completely, so I will check that also.

Have you checked alignment?

Don't forget the alignment uses up ink.

That is a issue with the printer, not the camera or software. Check your ink levels but also make sure the nozzles are clean.
