This photo was taken in my back yard in mid December, 2005 about 1/2 hour before dark. I had been shooting blank skys because I was cleaning my sensor. Still not satisfied with the cleanup I walked back out again and saw the moon on the rise. I shot my blank sky, then turned and took a shot of the moon. Upon looking at it on my computer, I noticed the plane about to crash into it but it was rather blah. I did a hue and saturation adjustment and the higher I ran the saturation the more interesting it became. Strangely I found a lot of visitors to my home liked it and it was only an 8 x 10 in a frame in my office. Hope some of you like it. If not, I understand.

Even if no one else likes it, I do. The moon is not always an easy shot. Must have been a good clear night. Funny how we see things on the computer screen that we didn't notice on the camera. Excellent and interesting fun shot that creates discussion. Have a GREAT DAY!

Well, he's extremely liberal, wears a very funny hat and has been known to complain to the administrators that I "stalk and attack" him. Now, in all honesty, I don't like the person.....not sure if male or female.....but "stalk and attack" is something I might reserve for something a bit more attractive than I envision him. Like the Fox News chicks. Now, I am going to leave the CNN news chicks for you. Is that OK?

Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, got it? Tomorrow. Right around 8:30 about 15 minutes after sunset. Sky should be nice and dark blue if no clouds. Stand on the S side of Chartres St and line up just to left of Jackson's statue. The moon will come up right over Jackson's horses ass. Catch it on the rise thru the Chestnut trees across the square. Got it now? Tomorrow night. Not tonight. Don't forget your camera.
