Have been into photography for years, but would like input on some of my pics from others who know more than me.
First of all welcome to the Hogg, you will get a lot out of this site. :-)
As a suggestion, decide if you want the reflection to be the subject or the tree line itself. Putting the horizon somewhere other than in the middle of the shot would make it more interesting. ;)
Welcome to the Hog.....enjoy your stay.

A big welcome to the hog Mac...The only critique i can offer is that the shoreline may be a little to dense. If you could lighten it up the pic would pop even more than it already does. GOOD first post.

Thank you for the suggestions- I took this very early in the morning, it was cold and the fog on the water was really cool.
Move (crop) the left border to clip the end of the trees so they run off the picture frame. Move the bottom up, cropping out the diagonal branch. Now your horizon line is just below center, you have a leading line (the tree reflection) that moves your eye to the waterline reflection that will become the subject of the photo, and the end of the trees won't be an abrupt ending event that it is now.

Hello Mac and welcome to the UHH. Nice shot but I think I would have cropped it just a little different.
Hi Bret - thanks for the welcome and I am open to all suggestions.
