So I have seen insane photos that easily send me back to the corner feeling very humbled! So I've seen reality, and I'm looking to see some insane photo compositing. Do any of you using gimp or photoshop do heavy multi photo work?
I'm throwing a couple of mine up here, and would love to see what ya'll are doing

I'll post one just to get it started.

Here's a section of the before and the after

I like to dabble when the mood hits...

1. This could have been done better but I was in a rush, the Corvette is a model car that I said I had gotten for my birthday.

2. The "flower" is made up of a petal picked up on the floor from a beautiful blue flower.

3. The entire photo is a figment of my imagination, including the woman.

Programs used: Corel's Paint Shop Pro and Daz Studio's Poser

These are great! Right now I am using IPhoto to edit. Don't think I can do this kind of work in it though. Going to start looking into Photoshop!!

Tripsy - "was the woman in the lower picture a poser model?"

Yes it was. I got into Poser big time and emptied my pockets trying to keep up with it for a couple of years. Problem was that no matter how powerful my machine was, it was never enough to render an image without taking a couple of hours if there were too many models included in the image. I'd get frustrated. BTW...yours looks great! I started using the figures in simpler ways...including them in photographs without having to use a model for every item in the image (don't have to worry about releases although dressing them can be problematic :)). I have a TON of resources waiting for me to pick it up again. This is one of my favorites..

Poser does have a pretty decent selection of models for use. I prefer actual photos myself, but like with your Indian, great things can be made!

I started out as an artist freehand...entered online competitions and did very well at the time..but then came Poser and Bryce and I got left in the dust so I had to rachet up the kind of things that I was doing to remain competitive. Thus came Poser.... Haven't used it in almost ten years but I kept up with the improved human models longer "in case". Now I work with the camera and photographs only. When you see what some people's imaginations come up with..not the pushing of a built in filter..but the way the tools are applied...it can be very inspiring.

Well said! I also consider the poser models to be similar to purchasing stock photography. It's another element allowing us to do our jobs!

I don't run into many people who know what Poser is, no less have taken it for a run.
