Yahooo, Check out B&H might have a deal on an PRO Epson or Canon
It is a prosumer model but the Epson R3000 is WONDERFUL. You can print on CD's, use Rolled paper in the back for printing panamoras, the print sizes are 13x19 and 13x44 for pano.
I just used it for a photo printing class at school and the professor said my photos were best in the class. The color is wonderful and so are the black & whites.. It is a pigment ink, and has 9 cartridges., a photo black and a matte black, two grays, vivid magenta light magenta, cyan, light cyan, yellow - my professor liked the prints out of it so much he bought one for himself for his home.

First I want to say Congratulations on your photo skills in printing class. That's awesome. Thank you so much for this information. I will check it out now. I really appreciate the help.

Something to note, there is a 3880 on the web page which is supposedly a step up, however, it doesn't allow you to do panos, it has no setup for rolled paper.
Thank you so much for that tip. I don't do panoramic. Maybe one day in the future. Just looking for a really great photo printer. I really appreciate you taking the time with me. I would love to see some of your work.

You can use the rolled paper for any printing you may do, its convenient to have paper loaded all the time without using the manual paper feed on the top. The higher end Photo printers do not have paper trays.

Hi Gina,
That's quite the husband you have! :-) Does he come in a female version? ha ha ha...
Not sure I can help much with the printer choice, but I would probably buy an inexpensive printer for doing small jobs, and save the majority of my printing for an outside print shop. There is no home consumer grade printer that can compete with the professional grade stuff a print shop has access to. I would really do the math on this one. It just doesn't make sense for me to do my own printing. Just a thought. -Mark
Hi Mark! Did you miss the part about my husband not acknowledging every holiday. LOL I am O.K. with that. He never puts a price on the care I give my dog. More important to me. Ha, ha, ha Your advice on the printer seems to be the theme I am getting from many others. Much cheaper to have your prints made then to do yourself. Your suggestion was right on. Thank you so much for your imput.
input not imput.....geeze....long day! LOL
