Where can I find an app for Android that will give me correct times for Sunset and sunrise? I have looked at many but when it came to the reviews all were rated very poor for photographers.

Try The Photographer's Ephemeris. I think it's 4.99 but worth every penny. It does way more than sunrise and sunset times.

I second that, and it not only takes location into account. It also takes variation of that time according to alitude/elevation.
Not sure if it takes blocking mountains into account though, I havent explored it that far.
It gives moonrise and set as well.
And also gives direction as the path changes throughout the year, so that you can know on what particular day the sun is going to rise right in the middle of that valley or road or behind that mountain/tree/building.

Yes - very good. I have it on my computer, but not on any devices. It gives lots of information. I'll take a look at the free one.

I've seen that happen before. It starts out free, and then they start charging. You can't blame them, really. I wonder when they'll switch to a monthly subscription plan. :D

I downloaded the Photographer's Ephemeris and used it last weekend for a prom shoot. I love it because it will tell you to the meter where the best lighting will be at a given location at a given point in time. I used it and planted my butt in a spot that I knew the sun would set BEFORE everyone else saw it at the last moment. There were 700 kids there trying to get the best spot. The photo I took was the shot of the day and all because I KNEW when to position myself at the exact time to get the shot I had been thinking about all day. It is a little complicated but they have the app for PC's, Android, IPad, IPod and Mac. I would post the picture, but IQ am new to this site, and am still trying to figure out just how to do that. I also don't feel like getting my butt chewed for posting in the wrong area. I have noticed that there are a few individuals who seem to let you know that you have posted a silly question, a photo in the wrong spot, incorrect information, or they have forgotten their "chill pill dujour' " and seem to let everyone know it!

Not apps but these are some useful links.

Remember, most photographers arrive too late in the morning and leave too early in the evening.
If you want to photograph the full moon the best results will be on the day before the moon is full.

I have this app and it works very well for me. I have it installed on both my iphone and macbook. I use this app nad a gps app to investigate possible locations in and around the area(s) I will be traveling through to identify the lighting and narrow down possible set up locations.
