Stairway in a Paisley building which was about to close, so thought I would like to have this stairway for the record book.

What was this building used for? What wood are the stairs made out of? Very nice pic by the way.

It's beautiful  I love the colors and luminosity. The only suggestion I have is to change the perspective of the stairs near the bottom to look level like those at the top.

Hell lilac, are you CSI ?
The building was used as a medical drop in centre and council were moving to a new bespoke modern facility.
Didn't pay that much attention.
If I remember correctly I think the stair had a granite veneer, the rail was some sort of hardwood and the metal parts were brass.

Cheers B Chic - Sorry that bothers you, but doesn't annoy me enough to fix.
It's only a grab shot I've played around with.

I am not always a fan of HDR, but with this photo it works out great. I like everything about your photo, don't change a thing.

I'm with Bob. I love HDR photos that don't scream HDR. Well done.

Stunning photo. In the USA we "renovate" those buildings. In Europe they never stop using and enjoying them. Your photo is an inspiration to me as I try to learn HDR.

My first experiment with HDR is outdoors I made a video of the Grand Canyon a few weeks ago. It was high noon and hazy. I tried to remind myself of my reaction to the deep color my eye saw that the camera couldn't. All the stills were processed in Nik HDR Effects Pro 2. I tried to "cook" them enough to make dull colors into brighter colors.
