Belgian Draft Horses.

On my return from the Osprey shoot I stopped at a pasture that had six Belgian Horses. These gentle giants are always without tack and therefore a pleasure to shoot. The one in the close up isn't satisfied until she's put that velvety nose against your cheek. I thought I'd share four of the images with you.

Great shots, horses are not easy to capture showing their magnificence! You did a beautiful job!! :)

In Thieusies Belgium, when I was stationed in Mons, I rented a house in the country. The field in back of my house had about 6 of those Belgian beauties. In the spring/summer I loved having the new foals come up to the fence and eat the carrots I would always have ready.

Thank you. You're so right. Trying to get one with a posed powerful neck is tough.
