Really like these abstracts, will you share your procedure with us? Are these done in PP? I am trying to get into abstract painting in acrylics. Thanks CJ
Was this oil and water over a mirror in a tray or photoshop or some other technique? Really cool photos!
Thank you for your comments...for portraits I do my photo shoot then take what pics my clients want in abstract.
1st find a clear oblong or square clear glass baking dish or whatever is available to you.
2nd place portrait under the dish (notin dish)
3rd put water and drop your oil in dish.
Take your pics and you are done...the water and oil will do the work for you...it creates itself
They remind me of an acid trip back in the 60's....he he,..nice job
CJ check my post for abstract color..that procedure is a little different
Use whatever clear dish or bowl you want with design on it if you want to
put your water oil and experiment with food coloring...you will get your desired colors and it will form all sorts of shapes on its own...fun to watch.
Also I do abstract painting...turn on some music and just let it flow...there are some great tutorials on you tube you can learn by...my suggestion though is be like a child and play...that brings out your most creative style..don't try and copy work as we all have inner passions and it will come out...just do it..have fun...and hopefully you will share your posts...when you finish your paintings make sure you coat them with veneer as it makes them shine and has long lasting effects..hope this helped you

leilanis the music thing is exactly what my art teacher does when she paints, Thank you for explaining what your procedure was for the abstract portraits was, I will try that. CJ
Wonderful..stay true to yourself..learn but don't let others dictate the rules..I break them all the time and love the results..think outside the box...not what others think you should be doing...

No truer words have been said. Thanks That is how I feel and think.

Not my cup of tea, however, I do like the way you have created something very different and the effort that has gone into them, I prefer the last one.
Me to..I actually quit my job a few years ago...corporate and me sitting behind a desk was not rewarding..never painted or did photography but decided that was what I wanted to do...taught myself and have not looked back..I feel so satisfied with my decision..everyone thought I was crazy and maybe I am lol..but it was the best thing I did for myself and was so much fun just learning on my own...and I make a living from it..what more do we want in life than what makes us happy...my motto in life is Enjoy the Journey the Destination will take care of itself...

As I said not taste but that does not make them bad photos, I hate pop art but that does not mean it is bad just because I don't like it
