Tried this yesterday. Turned out OK, nothing like this of course. They are stuck in Picassa, have to work out how to get them out to post some.

Thank you!! This was with the 28-300. I didn't think many Bees would be out. Not that many flowers yet. Should have had the 105 ready too.:):)

55-200 zoom. On App Mode. Depth of field 5.6, which i love and have mastered for the flowers. Bugs I always get their bottoms in the photo. Have to be more patient. They won't face the camera, very rude of them. I am going to ask about the extended zoom attachment, when at the shops next. Sounds interesting and could be useful.

I get a lot of butt shots too.:) Good practice tho. You might look at a close up filter for it. I have an old 70-180 micro zoom that Nikon made. It came with a filter that made it 1:1. Works great for bugs. But it does focus close. My 28-300 will focus at 13" Do you know how close your 55-200 will focus?
