I believe it was a 67 my best friends dad let me look good for a few minutes....same day I bought a 68 bsa month after getting back from nam.....may of 71..month later turned it into a chopper...Reds was a mans man...his hand shake was his word...hunt ,fish.loved his family..country God...ww2 vet saw lots of action..taught me manners..how to treat others.loved him like a second dad...his son and i have been buds for 61 years...stopped riding at 75..bad eyes from being a wellder....sorry got off track...he rode indians and hds all his life

Boots, I don't think so - they're well fed, certainly, but most wild turkeys up North don't have the vivid coloring of Texas birds - they're more like these.

Sounds like my Dad. WWII vet, hunted, fished,taught me how to work, love God and country...and rode H-D. I try my best to honor the tradition. Sounds like Reds and Dad were cut from the same cloth.
The vintage of the bike looks about right. Dad had 1945, 1949 and 1949. 1969, 1992, 2001 and 2010 (probably my last) for me.
