Wow, you got really close. Were you on a cruise ship? On my picture of the Hubbard Glacier, I a 200mm lens on and it still looks like it's 50 miles away.

Here are some of mine, from this past summer. There are some unique one's here.

Beautiful!!!

thank you, I really had hope for the whale's jumping out of the water and getting close up to the glaciers, eagles flying etc. But, when your on a cruise and going on non-photography excursion, it's really a hit or miss.

The best shot's are from the people who live there, like Alaskan, He does some kind of tour guide stuff and has fab pictures.

What type of lens did you use for the shot of Denali? It's really nice. We did the same land/sea cruise in 2005 and loved it. We saw Denali uncovered, but it was nearly midnight and the light wasn't nearly as good as in your photo. Very nice.

I so glad you posted some pictures Alaskan, I mention you earlier in this thread as the one who's pictures were among the best.
I also told the OP not to be disappointed if he did'nt get pictures like that, It's hard when your on a cruise for 7-10days with large groups of people in tour groups.

Well do you see the shot from the front of the ship. That's the Hubbard Glacier in the back ground. It's as close as we got. I had a wide angle lens on, then switch to my 200mm. We just never got close enough.
