Elements 10 is on sale at COSTCO for under 50 dollars!!
Thanks for the heads up. If only the nearest Costco, didn't require $40 or more in gas
Several years ago I purchase APS Element 5 and was not to interested with all of the things you were required to do to process a picture. I have Adobe LR3 and really enjoy the program, but I thought I would revist APS Elementss 10. Do you know of any good how to book on this program????
I think you can download a free "Dummies" book for Elements at:
http://www.ipdfconverter.com/blog/adobe/photoshop-elements-9-all-in-one-for-dummies-free-pdf-ebook-download.htmlElements is really quite easy to use, as well as being comprehensive. Technically, Adobe PhotoShop is the grandfather from which most all other image editing programs have derived.

gizzy.whicker I tried to download from that site. Any download they offer requires the download of a program. I was unable to access this or any "free" book without installing something else They have a different required download for each book. No download button on the page relates to the book itself.
Yeah... they often do that. I think they're PDF files, which requires that you have "Adobe Reader" installed on your computer. Adobe Reader is free. You might try downloading and installing that first. Try Google to find it.

I have adobe reader. The point is they do not let you download the allegedly free books. You must download something else. They may or may not let you download a book after you do. Each book listed requires you download something. I don't wish to download, subscribe or install things I do not want or need.
Tried downloading that For Dummies- MALWARE!!!! Luckily Avira caught it and removed it. Then I verified with Malwarebytes. What's up with these virus POS people. Can't they find something better to do with their time, like buy photography stuff!!!!
Thanks for the info on Elements from costco. A great price. I placed an order.
I have Elements 9. Should I upgrade to the new Elements 10 version?
TerryT, that depends on your needs. If you can do everything you want with 9, don't bother. Once you reach the limits of 9, you can decide if you want or need something else. I can do most of what I want in 4. I use other programs as well and have 9 on a number of machines. I also have PS5. Most of it is overkill for me.
That's kinda what I thought. I'll spend the $ on a nice dinner instead!

If you have Costco membership, you can mail order it off the internet - they have free shipping too. If no membership, I think you pay a 2% surcharge - $1.00 - still a bargain. I just ordered mine.

The last time I purchased from Costco as a non-member the surcharge was 15%, but that was a few years ago.
