Wheels..............
These pictures were taken the other day at a rock quarry a few miles North of San Antonio, Texas. I was driving on a Farm to Market road in Comal County when I spotted these train wheels and figured they would make some nice, unusual, but interesting pictures.
The sky was over-cast, no sun, harsh lighting situation. I took the pictures with a Sony A300 DSLR using a vintage (1985) Minolta 28-85mm F3.5/4.5 lens. Settings were F8, 1/80 sec.for the first picture, and 1/60 sec. for the second picture, ISO 100 for both pictures, Manual Mode. I edited the pictures using Corel PaintShop Pro 4X. Tejaswrangler :)
Its amazing how what were once expensive and useful items are just discarded and left to decay. Perhaps is an insight into why we as humans treat some of our own in the same manor.I find these pieces of work very powerful & though provoking. Excellent tejaswrangler

I agree, I think this photograph would make an excellent Black & White

JR1, is this what you are suggesting? I am not too sure that I like it this way. If this is not what you had in mind, would you do me a favor and revise my picture and let me see how it looks? Tejaswrangler :)
Very interesting. I'm always on the look-out for these type of shots. Good job
