The future of photography how? Sounds like yeah it might be good for the military or something, but since it doesn't pick up skin I'm guessing most people won't be in line to have their picture taken by it.

Yeah, but what application would it have in every day life? For what purpose would Nikon and Canon need to get hold of it?

Ha ha quite right Jerry.. but after a little more thought I recon apple will combine with google street view so the user can view adverts from 6 miles away in 3D...

Wow! your son sounds like a proper tech wiz...I totaly agree with you, I do photography for fun, when the fun goes so will my camera....

He's a different kind of cookie. I sent him the link and he will probably think that cameras should do this, but I agree with you. Sometimes things are just better the old fashion way.
