I'm 5 years into my retirement and have chosen to learn photography as a hobby. I hope to post and learn from your comments. I'v been watching the photo gallery for some time and want to jump in with some posts of my own.
These colors seemed to appear from no where all at once on a routine sunset picture
Very Beautiful - Thankyou for sharing.

Very nice, and welcome to our forum.
I live on top of a hill with a beautiful view. Love to take pictures of sunsets but do not have a clear shot of the horizon so all my sunsets have trees in them. Thank you for your comments.
I am also new to this site and new to posting pictures. Thank you for shareing and looking forward to some more pictures. Welcome to UHH! This is a great place and everyone is wonderful.

It often makes a better picture to have something there besides the sky. A sunset without clouds is pretty dull.

Hello and welcome. I am still new myself but am enjoying all the photo posts and info to be found on UHH. Great shot. I love sunsets; this one captures all the colors.

Have you noticed that there seem to be more sunset pictures than sunrise? You don't have to get up early to capture a sunset. :D

Nice picture. I am fascinated with blazing skies. I live 1 hour north of NYC where almost every day I get to witness either dramatic morning skies from my back yard or fantabulous sunsets from my front yard.
This picture was taken this past winter about 6:45AM.

Florida, NY. You have the best of both worlds: New York State, and the suggestion of warm winters.
Nice photo, Mary. In one of our classes we're going to have to do a little work with Photoshop. Chuck
