Hi Guys, a couple of days ago I said I would post some of my photos of bluebirds for Carolina Wings. They are nowhere near as good as hers, and all were taken a couple of years ago, which was the most fun shots I have. I learned something from watching them over a series of weeks-they are little THIEVES! I thought they were starting a nest in the bird house with the license plate roof, but eventually realized they were actually stealing nesting material that had been placed in there by a tit, who you can see sitting above them in one shot, waiting for them to get out of the way so she could continue. Then the male bluebird would take the materials to the "Rock City" bird house about 40 ft. away. So basically the pair of bluebirds were shopping for baby furniture!

Both a cool story and shots...thank you for posting them for me 8-) Love the little Titmouse looking down at the little thieves ;-)
Nice shots phOtObug. I wish I could get some blue birds to come around my feeders. I have yet to see one in my yard.
Thank you all for the kind words. I don't feel like they are my best, but just wanted to share the story.
I have 3 feeders and keep suet in my back yard, and while I see plenty of birds at them, have yet to see the bluebirds at the feeders. Don't know what you would put out to get them to come, but they come here in droves.
