OK. I am just so full of questions----

I have a D7000. Want to upgrade to a D600. I have a lot of glass all dx format. Question is, can a dx af lens be used on a D 600 with camer motor drive in af mode?

Yep, depending which ones you have of course, but presumably they are fairly recent model lenses if
you are using them on a D7000, your lenses will work but you won't get the full benefit of a D600.
I am presuming, by motor drive, you mean auto focus.
You've got a brilliant DX camera in my opinion anyway, why do you want a full frame with all that entails?
Unless you find the D7000 limiting your picture taking in some way I would suggest you stick with it and
slowly purchase some good lenses that will work on both and when you have the glass, then look for a full frame
if you really feel you must have one.
Who knows, by then the D600 may be redundant and you will be in the market for a D900 :)

Just an Ideal, what about the D7100? I know it's still a DX camera, but 24 mega pixels and all of your lens will work. I think your lens will work on the D600 in DX mode, but not sure. Maybe google the specks on the D600

One word: eBay. I sold any DX lenses I had when I got my D600 and put the money toward FX lenses. The 28-300mm is my everyday lens. Don't forget eBay when it comes time to buy lenses. Buying new is usually a last resort for me.

I think I saw an announcement Monday by Nikon about a film adapter for digital cameras.

What I really want is a still camera that will shoot video. Oh, wait a minute.
