I was out looking for new things and came across this fellow and can't figure out what kind of bird it is. Can anyone help ? I live on the eastern thumb area of Michigan

Definately a Europian Starling. Not originally native to the US it was brought in by some one that thought it would be a good idea to have all the birds mentioned in Shakespeare. Really bad idea since they have become one of the great nusence birds.

Yep, my bird book says it is the winter plumage of the European Starling.
