I have been lurking in this forum for a couple weeks and thought I might as well announce myself. 25 to 30 years ago I was considered a "serious amateur", but with a divorce I lost my darkroom and motivation. As I am now retired, I am hoping I can get some of the magic back. All of my experience was with film and I am now trying to figure our digital :-)
Welcome to the forum :) from southeast Arizona. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
We are all students of photography one way or another. Welcome to UHH and we also will learn from you .
Hello "Lost", I'm glad to hear that you're getting back into photography. Although digital is quite different than film, it does allow you the benefit of taking a ton of pictures withopout the expense. I also think that you will find your motivation once again( having been twice divorced myself). As with all things, the lourney starts with a single step, which sounds like you've taken. Good luck, and most importantly, have fun!
Charlie
Further, all you learned during the film era of photography applies to the digital era.
The chief difference between the two eras lies in the greater control digital photography offers.
