Im a complete amateur when it comes to photography. I have never taken any classes to learn about lighting or even how to use my camera manually. I have really just been practicing all my shots manually to learn. I would love to fit some schooling in to learn as much as I can so I can become a better photographer. I love photography and would one day like for my passion to become a business. Is there anyone who can give me some insight as to where the best photography schools are or how I can go about learning in any way. Keep in mind right now I am a nursing student with an active duty military husband and two daughters under the age of 3. But I swear I have some room for my passion. Thanks for any and all advice!

Check out Perfect Picture School of Photography. The instructors are great--professionals who do photography for magazines, write books, etc. It's online and works very well.

I've taken several classes with them. Some are pricey, but they give you tons of information and most of them respond to questions very well.

Bryan Peterson's book - "Understanding Exposure" is great. I just finished reading it for the first time and will be re-reading many times I'm sure. All the options for shooting in Manual modes are covered in a way you can understand.
Highly recommended.

Hi There,
Sometimes you may be able to find a local photography school giving a one-day class...that's what I did. Also, check your local community college, they may also offer classes
