I am going on a trip in a few months to Germany and Austria and am in the market for a Wide angle zoom for my D600. I have my eye on the Nikon 16-35 f4 VR, but thought I would ask for opinions on this or alternate lenses. What do you think?

Ditto, the 16-35mm F4 VR is a great lens.
There is a 2.8 available but an additional $800.00.

I have the D600 and use the 17-35 f2.8D ED-IF that I purchased refurbished from B&H for $1,250, which was actually a little less than they were selling the 16-35 f4 VR, and I love it. I have purchased many refurbished professional grade lenses from B&H and have never been disappointed. The 16-35mm f4 VR looks like a great lens, and you can get some good camparison data on both at the Photography Life website.
Thank you all for your responses. I thing the Nikon 16-35 f4 VR is a lens that I can live with for a very long time. Now I just need to get it before I talk myself out of the $. Thanks again.
