Howdy from Arizona

I'm a frustrated REALTOR with time on my hands. I've bought and sold, fixed and flipped for so long it's hard to thing of myself as anything but a REALTOR but the truth is I'm just plain tired of what it's become. So for the last year I've been playing with some interests that I never had time for before. One is buying and selling vintage items; and the other is photography.

Here is a pic I just took this afternoon, love to have your feedback. I have not altered it.

Hi Dottie - we have a bunch of Arizonians here, so far as I can tell. You have an excellent state for photography, as you well know.

Hi Dottie,
Moved to AZ several years ago and am also new to UH or UHH.
We sure do have lots of interesting wildlife and scenery to inspire this hobby as Jim H mentioned.

We have made quite a few road trips and found home, Arizona more varied than most other places, with everything from the Sonoran desert to ski lodges. I love it! But then I've never been to Jersey!

What suggestions can you make for my pic?

Hi sammytalia7,

The Verde Valley has a lot offer in the way of beautiful scenery. And some eye dazzling stuff within a few miles. We are so lucky.

I've been a semi-serious photographer for only about a year. How about you?

Dottie,

I have been taking pic for fun of mostly wildlife but know nothing about technique or equipment. I am retired and finally have the time and motivation to get into the technical stuff and definitely want feedback, so I joined this forum. I used to flower garden and take photos of the flowers. This is the only thing you can't do where I live in AZ...and that is grow a variety of beautiful flowers practically year round. Good luck to both of us in this new adventure!

I wouldn't do anything with it except a little saturation adj. How close are you to Sedoña?

Just cropped it a bit and tried to sharpen the edges where the tree on the left was out of focus.........

Thanks for the input. I live about 15-20 minutes from Sedona. I moved here from Texas. I saw that you are from South Texas, which is another wonderful area. I lived in Corpus for a couple of years and loved it.

Thanks for the tip. I just bought Photo Shop and am still working with a simple editor. I can't wait until I can use saturation on just parts of the photo (in this case just the bluebird).
