Started in photography as a combat photographer in the US Marine Corp in the late 70's early 80's. Put photography aside for several years to concentrate on my career as a woodworker to support my family. Now they are all grown up. I've re-kindled my love for photography and bought my first DSLR 3 yrs ago. Still learning how to use it. Hoping to get much needed information on this site. Thanks for letting me join.

Hi Robert: Welcome to the forum, it appears that your time away from a camera hasn't diminished the skills you learned in the Corp. There is a mountain of information at your finger tips at this site, and plenty of highly experienced photographers to answer your questions.

OK you set the bar for me. These are nice pictures. Ironically my wife and I are going to Maine for vacation next September. Portland, Cape Cod and also Boston. Are you from that area. If so, any suggestions for taking some great pictures?
