This is my first post but have been looking for about a year. Love this forum. Please give your honest opinon about the pictures.
Very nice pics. Thanks for posting.
Good stuff guy. Only suggestion is to experiment with cropping. Subject doesn't always have to be in the center, nor does the entirety of critter need to be. Very sharp and great detail. Man, there's lots of amazing birds here in Texas! We recently moved from SoCal and delighted at the sheer variety of birdlife everywhere. =)
I like them. Is the Woodpecker a Female redbellied?

Very nice pics. Agree with cudakite. Crop or use a longer lens.
Master Flash it was cropped and I was using a 400mm lens. I do understand maybe I should not have centered it. Thats a bad habit I have.

Reed these are nice shots. You mite want to post these in the gallery section of the forum. The Orioles are different colors...are they male and female?
jrb1213 sorry but I do not know my birds that well so I don't know.
Ya Bret I relized I post in the wrong section, first post will try to do better on next post. Do not know if male and female but would think so.

Dude! If that's the worst that happens to all of us, we are SO blessed. Don't you dare stop posting, ya hear?! =D
These birds are beautiful, thank you for posting them. And AHA, I found a way to post this link.
I made a thread in that link forum but you all may not see it.
http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/events/great-texas-birding-classicTexas is having a bird watching contest.
I hope you don't mind me doing this but I'm sure some of you would be interested.

Beautiful photos. #3 is a male Golden-fronted woodpecker. I have a mating couple that visit my feeder every day. Can't wait till their baby shows up so i can watch them feed it. Here in the hill country, I have about 20 species of birds that come to my feeders over the year.
