Using Photo Ninja in Windows 8

Is anyone using Photo Ninja in Windows 8? I have succeed in installing the 64 bit version in Windows 8, but it freezes as soon as I bring up it. I am running a year old Asus note book, dual core 64 bit, 4 gigs of memory. I suspect it may need more memory although the documentation indicates it should be enough. Thanks for any information. David

Back to first base.
Completely uninstall Photo Ninja.
Check your downloads and get rid of that too.
Cold Reboot
Install it again and retry.

Perfect solution. Uninstall Windows 8, install Windows 7. Windows 8 is almost as bad as Vista. Unless you are into pain you will do as I say!

I had Win 8 with many MANY problems, cured them all with the aforesaid solution!

I have been using Win 8 since it came out, I believe in October. I have had a few minor but easily corrected problems early on. My assessment of Windows 8 is that it is marginally better than Win 7, but for most not worth the up grade. In my case I had some vintage hardware that was not compatible with Win7 Home Premium, but works fine under 8. I could have up graded to Win 7 Professional, but it would have been more expensive and more trouble than installing Win 8. So, I made an ISO copy of the Win 7 system and then installed 8. I have not regretted doing so. I have made a few changes to Win 8 the most important being to bring back the start button. For the most part I would avoid installing a new operating system until it has been out for six months or a year.

My question was specific to the installation of Photo Ninja in Win 8 as I suspected that I did not have enough memory. I have sent an email to Photo Ninja and hope they can answer my question. Having worked as an net work administrator and data analyst at a leading university for twenty some years I suspect that I understand the basics of software installation. Perhaps that is why I have had less trouble with Win 8 than some others.

Why you hate Win 8 would be of more interest?

Installing various programs including upgrading to win8 required call the manufacturer. No widgets from win 7, no xp capability mode, search feature goes by topic rather than global, media center problems, no start button(some feature now require more key strokes, it's really designed for a tablet not a desktop, and I had to buy a new scanner to work with it (actually 7 didn't run my old scanner), and there are other problems people have had with hardware compatibility. There are more but I can think of them at the moment. FYI: I've been working with computers since the late 70's, I used to be a teach programming.
