Still trolling for personal experience re SmugMug or other such services versus Getty.
Would love to hear from those who have enough experience (and earnings) to have formed an opinion.
Anyone???
Thanks for all replies...tom

I've used SmugMug for five years. They are reliable and very quick to respond should you have a question. No complaints at all.
I've used SmugMug for many years and love it. No problems.
Smug has a chat line in their help interface so you can get real time help. Love 'em, been with them abount 10 years?
Smugmug is great. The sites are easy to set-up/maintain. I have the membership that allows orders to be made on line from anywhere, but my main use is for local people to see my work. I got tired of people asking for e-mails or cd's of a certain subject. You can set up "right click pertect", with e-mails or cd's, what's to stop people from just printing what the want?
Take a look at Zenfolio too.

No earnings, but Smugmug is a great way to display/share photos. Their default black setting and especially the lack of ads all over the place really does make the photos stand out.
Smug is worth the fee. WYSIWYG printing. Integrated with Lightroom. They are constantly improving.
For showing your work FLICKR is free, up to 20 images, great for interfacing with other shooters.
To protect your images simply reduce the size.
I have had over 10,000 views on a picture I took with a 2.1 MP camera, right place , right time, right light
