Need some GETTY/SmugMug advice...please help

Thanks for reading.

I have several old photos of jazz musicians from the '40s that I have been fixing up, and wish to do something with.

I though I might take a run at Getty to see if they want them; then I thought of selling them on SmuMug, or some similar service.

Does anyone have experience with either--preferably, with both--that they might share?

I know one poster here mentioned that he had several images on Getty; would love to learn more about his experience.

Try 'em out on Getty? Or sell 'em on SmugMug?

Tell me what to do.

Thanks.

SmugMug is an easy to use site that is very intuitive, however I like Shutterbug Storefront (ShutterbugStorefront.com) better as the prices they charge for their product is much less than SmugMug for the same quality. I believe the yearly price is less too. I also found their service to be prompt and customer service was superb. They take care of the payment (Visa, Mastercard, etc) and print and ship the product out, OR they take care of the payment and you can print and ship yourself (or you can do everything yourself). I don't believe SmugMug will allow you to do that unless they have changed their policy in the last year.

Free 90 trial and only $30 a year after. Does more than smugmug and way cheaper
Plus you set your own prices and you get what you ask for. Paid membership also gives you commission on accessories purchased by the buyer as well.

I switched from Smug mug to FAA. FAA is a little harder to use, but much more reasonably priced. To be honest I haven't sold any "fine art" prints on either. I have done much better at local events.
