Printing portraits

Here is a question for all of you portrait photographers. I don't do a lot of printing but would like some opinions on the best type of paper to use for portraits. I have a few that I'd like to have done up 11x14. I have had a few landscapes printed 11x14 on matallic paper at Adarama and love them. I'm just not so sure that's the way to go with portraits. Opinions please. :D

Try Adoramapix Luster paper. I believe you will really like it for portraits (and for just about anything else). Matte paper runs a close second.
Adoramapix does an outstanding job on all types of paper. Just give them a good image in sgrb color space.

No on the metallic. Luster is best especially if its going behind glass.

For most purposes, luster works really well. Some matte papers can be gorgeous, but some of he really nice mattes have to be handled with care as they can smudge or scratch easily.

What I would do is have one of your shots done in every paper you lab offers and do them in 4X6 or 5X7 and see what you like best. You may want differant finishes for differant prints. - Dave

I agree wholeheartedly with the captain and use Epson Premium Luster mostly for my portfolios, the results are great and generate
nice comments.
