Visting the WTC Memorial

We'll be visiting this weekend. We'll have a Canon 60 d with a wide angle lens and a Canon s95. With that said has anyone been to the WTC memorial and had any issues or being hassled for using a DLSR?
Below is quote from the WTC memorial site, it is spelled out pretty clearly but thought I'd post for thoughts from someone who has taken the tour.
Personal photography is permitted on the 9/11 Memorial. All photographic equipment is subject to security screening and size limitations. No photographic equipment larger than 8x17x19 will be permitted onto the Memorial.Professional photography is not permitted on the Memorial, unless otherwise authorized by the 9/11 Memorials Department of Communications. Professional photography includes taking photographs for advertising or commercial purposes and using professional photography equipment

Make sure you bring a Nikon DSLR...nobody would mistake them for a pro camera :)

"using professional photography equipment" might give you a problem with the 60d. A lot of "security" see the Canon and it throws up a flag. I'd advise taking the manual with you - just in case.

We took the tour yesterday, security was tight, similar but not quite as stringent as airport security. Shoes stayed on, hats and coats had to come off. Every one had to walk thru a scanner type device. Bags were restricted to 8x17x19 no one had a tape measure though. They x-rayed /scanned the bag, cell phones, keys, cameras, iPads etc, had to be taken out of the cases they were in. No one mentioned anything about the 60d even with the 70-200mm lens on it or the Tamrac Evolution 6 backpack I used.
